You can learn how to use Reiki for yourself and to help others, regardless of your background, and no special skills are required. I offer one-to-one Reiki courses at all levels to support you on your own personal journey.

The emphasis is on learning how to use Reiki in your daily life, to help you and your loved ones. I can also train you to work as a Reiki Practitioner if you want to go along that path, and on to Master level.

All courses are held in my home therapy room in the countryside just outside Muir of Ord, and course timings can be flexible to fit around your work/family commitments. I can also adapt some of the course content if you have a particular interest.

There are three levels of training, which can be seen as a Reiki journey. You can go as far as you want, at whatever pace is right for you. You can find information about each of the levels further down this page.

~ The style of Reiki I teach is USUI/HOLY FIRE® III Reiki ~

This is a combination of the Usui Reiki system developed by Mikao Usui in Japan, and the new Holy Fire® Reiki system introduced more recently by the International Center for Reiki Training in the USA. This uses a guided meditation method to activate your connection to the Reiki energy.
The Holy Fire® system does not change the content of the courses at Reiki First and Second Degree, you will be learning the Usui Reiki system, and the guided meditations involve you directly in the connection (empowerment) process to give you whatever you need at the time.

complete, and is not intended to have any religious meaning)

REIKI FIRST DEGREE - FOUNDATION LEVEL (Shoden)
3 x half days (3½ hours each day)
course fee £160

This is the Foundation level and it may be the only level you want to take. The emphasis is on self-healing and laying the foundations for regular personal practice with Reiki. It also enables you to give treatments to your family and friends.

We will use the First Degree (Shoden) course manual written by Taggart King at Reiki Evolution, and you will receive your manual in advance so you can read though it in preparation.

The course content includes -

The First Degree Reiki Placement Meditation (empowerment).
A look at the history of Reiki and its development.
The Reiki Precepts (Mikao Usui's simple guidelines for living).
The Japanese 'Hatsurei Ho' energy exercise.
Practice sensing and feeling energy.
How to give yourself Reiki (in a meditation and a hands-on self-treatment).
How to give Reiki to your family, friends and pets (preparing yourself, 'scanning' the body, hand positions for a treatment, and 'first aid' situations).
How to energise your food, drinks and plants.

You will receive your certificate to show you have completed the Reiki First Degree training and a copy of your Reiki "lineage" back to Mikao Usui.

I offer support and follow-ups after the course at no extra cost, so if there's ever anything you're unsure about you can just ask.

REIKI SECOND DEGREE - PRACTITIONER LEVEL (Okuden)
3 x half days (3½ hours each day)
course fee £190

This level develops your practice with Reiki further, and introduces the Reiki symbols and 'distance' energy work. It enables you to give Reiki treatments to members of the public if you wish.

We will use the Second Degree (Okuden) course manual written by Taggart King at Reiki Evolution, and you will receive your manual in advance so you can read through it in preparation.

The course content includes -

The Second Degree Reiki Placement Meditation (empowerment).
The three symbols and their mantras, and various ways to use them.
A meditation on the symbols to help you feel the difference between the energies.
How to work intuitively using the Japanese 'Reiji Ho' approach.
How to do 'distance' treatments.
Space clearing, empowering goals and other ways to use Reiki.
Working as a Reiki Practitioner - what you need to know to set up your practice.

You are asked to do some practical work after the course, which you can do in whatever timeframe works for you, and this will help consolidate what you learn on the course. After you have done the practical work you will receive your certificate to show you have completed the Reiki Second Degree training.

I offer support and follow-ups after the course at no extra cost, so if there's ever anything you're unsure about you can just ask.

REIKI THIRD DEGREE - MASTER LEVEL (Shinpiden)
A series of half days
course fee £450

This level continues your personal journey of self-healing and spiritual growth, and enables you to teach Reiki to others if you wish.

We will use the Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master course manual written by William Lee Rand at the International Center for Reiki Training.
